The Montessori Classroom emphasizes four areas of concentration: Practical life, Sensorial, Language, and Mathematics. Science, Geography, Music, Art and Movement are also an integral part of the Montessori Curriculum.

Practical Life

These lessons emphasize life-skills such as pouring, lacing and table setting.

Sensorial materials stimulate the senses through a series of objects grouped together according to some physical quality such as color, size shape, sound, texture, weight, and temperature.

Detail is paid to letters and their corresponding phonetic sound preparing the child for reading.

These materials enable the child to internalize concepts of numbers, symbols, sequences, operations, and memorization of basic mathematic facts.
